Decorated boards. Pricebindings with the heraldic weapon of Utrecht on the boards. The Latin title "Sophoclis Dramata qvae svpersvnt et deperditorvm fragmenta Graece et Latine" refers to a 1806 edition of Sophocles' plays, published in Leipzig (Lipsiae) by Weidmann's publishing house. The book includes both the surviving plays of Sophocles and fragments of lost works, presented in both Greek and Latin. The edition was prepared by Richard François Philippe Brunck and Friedrich Heinrich Bothe. The full title translates to "Sophocles: Surviving Dramas and Fragments of the Lost Ones, in Greek and Latin". The publication was a significant contribution to the study of Sophocles, as it made both the extant and fragmentary works accessible to scholars in both languages. The edition was published in two volumes. It also includes a conspectus of the meters used by Sophocles and a lexicon of Sophoclean vocabulary, including fragments of lost plays.
